How-to Guide for Dorm vs. Dorm Sustainability Competitions
AASHE and the Duke Environmental Alliance have created a how-to guide website for dorm vs. dorm sustainability competitions that provides an instructional video, additional event ideas, and planning documents such as a sample competition calendar, a sample budget, and a sample preparation schedule. The guide is modeled off of the Duke University Eco-Olympics, a dorm vs. dorm sustainability competition that includes a suite of events promoting recycling, energy and water conservation, environmental education and other sustainable practices.

University Sustainability/Green Fees
UIUC Green Fees - a $5 sustainability fee and a $2 clean energy fee. Students petitioned to get the fees put on a student ballot, where both passed overwhelmingly. Students for environmental concerns (SECS) passed both fees, which are then managed by the student sustainability committee - a student committee with faculty/staff representation.all committee decisions must be approved by campus facilities & services (if applicable) and also the vice chancellor for student affairs.
