About Health and Wellness Club:

The Health and Wellness Club was created to improve the quality of life for students at RU. They believe physical, mental, emotional, and social health are important aspects of our development. The Health and Wellness Club includes a focus on mental health, fitness, nutrition, and working to find ways to improve our environment. Some of their planned events for the environment include becoming involved in the preservation measures to stop the pollution of our Great Lakes. Raising money to help the different departments in the use of recycled paper. Implementing Recycling on campus for the cafeteria and dorms. Promoting local and organic foods and lobbying for a rooftop garden.

Recent Project

GREEN JOBS NOW! In a combined effort with RU's Green Group, the Health and Wellness Club volunteered their time on the National Day of Action to Build the New Economy (Saturday, September 27, 2008) to help clean up Chicago's Historic National Park Portage Woods while making a statement that they are ready for Green Jobs Now! Their efforts at Park Portage Woods will help prevent brush fires and contribute to keeping the park clean. For more information and pictures, visit their Facebook page or the Green Jobs Now page.
