About SEAC:
Bradley University's Student Environmental Action Coalition is an affiliate
of the national environmental organization which emphasizes environmental
action. Here at Bradley, SEAC is committed to improving the current
recycling program, participating in prairie restoration activities in
the area, and raising environmental awareness to make a difference at
Bradley, in the community, and in the world.
Mission Statement:
SEAC brings more awareness to Bradley's campus about environmental issues and also works with the community to clean up the Peoria region.
Annual Projects:
Participate in the Illinois River Sweep, a Peoria-wide river clean-up
Host an annual Earth Day Concert to promote environmental awareness featuring the environmentally-friendly band Patchouli and other Bradley student bands. The audience is welcome to materials about the environment and can tie-dye free t-shirts
Other Activites
Goes hiking in nearby nature preserves
Discusses issues relevant to the on-campus state of environment affairs and also more global concerns
Watches and promotes movies that deal with environmental issues
