Purpose Statement
As an offshoot of Students for Environmental Concerns (SECS), CORE has been around for about a year, and we ultimately want to see recycling throughout all of Champaign. "We want to show students that they can do something about recycling, and show that you have a large group of people standing behind you, and you're not standing alone".

Environmental Issues Addressed
While bringing awareness that recycling is a huge issue in Champaign, we want to make a community-wide effort and bring students and residents of Champaign to work together for this cause.

Current Projects
To get a multitude of Greek houses around campus to incorporate a recycling chair within their house that will take care of recyclables each week.

To achieve multi-family housing (apartment and private dorm) recycling.

To improve the amount of Champaign residents using their recycling services through their respective garbage companies.

To raise awareness in the student community to utilize the recycling efforts that the University provides.
