MELTING ICE / A HOT TOPIC: ENVISIONING CHANGE (April 18 through September 1, 2008)
Visitors to The Field Museum in Chicago can see artists' reactions to climate change in the new exhibition, Melting Ice / A Hot Topic: Envisioning Change (April 18 through Sept. 1). The contemporary art show features the works of 26 artists from 10 countries. A total of 23 of pieces are in the thought-provoking exhibition including photographs, oil paintings, sculpture, and video installations – all focusing on climate change, specifically melting ice caps and the effect that has on all living creatures. (An exhibition preview for media will be held on Apr. 17 at 10am. Media should contact The Field Museum's Public Relations Department at 312.665.7100 for more information or to RSVP.)
